Ekstremalne przypadki utraty danych
Zajmująca się odzyskiwaniem danych firma Kroll Ontrack opublikowała listę najbardziej ekstremalnych przypadków utraty danych, z jakimi zetknęli się specjaliści firmy w 2007 roku.
Zestawienie otwiera przypadek kobiety, która uprała swojego pendrive’a razem z brudnymi ubraniami. Także z wodą związana jest historia wędkarza, który utopił laptopa w jeziorze podczas rybobrania.
Ku przestrodze służy przypadek naukowca, który wlał do notebooka żrący kwas. Substancja strawiła dużą część dysku twardego. Równie ciekawa historia dotyczy innego naukowca, który zirytowany hałasem generowanym przez jego dysk twardy, postanowił go naoliwić.
Zestawienie zamyka przypadek fotografa z Tajlandii, który odkrył, że w jego zewnętrznym dysku twardym zadomowiły się mrówki. Zdjął więc obudowę i spryskał środek urządzenia preparatem na insekty. Mrówki zginęły, podobnie jak dane z dysku.
